Mason PUD News

Beginning April 10 PUD No. 3 electrical crews will be performing an electrical change to the primary power source at the Mt. View facility. PUD 3 does not expect this activity to be service affecting but will have an electrician standing by. The Mt. View site is equipped with uninterruptible power systems and an in line emergency generator to ensure continuous power and smooth transition from utility power to generation.

 

The PUD 3 Telecom Department will have an electrician on site with a back up power source in the event the main generator fails to respond, once the primary power is re-routed. Electrical crews will start the de-energizing of primary power at 11:30 PM on April 10 and will last until 3:00 AM, April 11. At 3:00am the primary power will be switched from the Mt. View Colo to the back up generator power and last until approximately 6:00 AM. Once the primary power has been restored the electrician will contact the NOC to confirm completion of this event.
